My new hat I made

So this is my newest hat that I've made... I really need to make some more... And some christmas themed hats too! Like with poinsettia flowers on them and such! If you have any ideas for a hat please let me know! I am thinking about making a snowman hat! Like a blue hat with a white snowman on it!

A promise for my readers

I've been uber busy with school work and my hobbies, and swap-bot too! I've decided to promise to my readers that I will do what I can to keep my blog more updated for yall to read!

So what's new? The dinner went well! Everybody ate, and enjoyed it.

And now.... I am learning how to knit! yay! It's been a while since I've done any knitting... so it feels like I am starting all over again... So yeah... Im using larger knitting needles too, so it doesnt look the same, but that's alright.

Another busy day

So yeah, I've been super busy with work and school and have had no time to post on here lately... Right now I am working on my first hand made regular post card, for a "Love Is..." swap I am in. Basically you are suppose to make a post card and write "Love Is..." and design around it what you think love is, or something you love. For me I love to crochet, so I made one that has a yarn ball on it.. LOL I gotta color the back of it still and wait for the glitter to dry.. I have touched up the glitter a bit more since I have taken this picture, how ever - this is my first attempt... I'll probably do a non-3D card for my next few cards. I am suppose to make 7 cards all together.

Crochet'ing with my cousin

Last night I was teaching my cousin how to make a hat... It's been a while since she crochet'd, and her hat turned out very interesting. I dont know how she did it but she did something really cool with the texture of her hat. I'll have to share pictures of it a little later today. Right now I am cooking for 18 people.. Me, Mom, Dad, My little sister Rachel, My little brother Daniel, my older sister Kathy, my aunt mary, my cousin, her 2 children, my nephew, my brother in law, and my sister's boyfriend, and also grandma and grandpa. I've been cooking since 10 am.. Well technically 11am, I spent the first hour thawing out the cubbed steak. I'm making country fried steak for lunch. :) Anyhow I'll post later tonight the pictures of the hat she made and the hat I am making.

Busy afternoon

I've been busy today, with homework and all my crafting! Today I made my very first decorated reusable shopping bag! It didn't turn out too bad, I dont think... I even used iron on transfer letters for the first time too though it turned out a little uneven.. but I hope the person I am sending it to will be okay with it.

I tried to make a cloche' style hat today too and did a different style to the edge. I just bought a pattern for a crochet rose that I want to add to it, to see how it looks. The top part of the hat was done by a pattern, but the rest of it is free form, as far as any pattern goes. I used a variety of sc, hdc, and dc rows after I did the basic hat pattern. I think it turned out cute.

Anyhow this is what I did today.

Something I want to Try

I want to make a quilt with this pattern. According to my google search, it's called Bento Box pattern.. I am working on a swap with a new friend of mine, and I am going to give this pattern a try and make a fabric post card... They are really neat!

Baby Blanket

This is a blanket that I am making for a friend of mine that had a baby last week. I probably wont see her until after christmas though. My friend had a baby girl. I don't know what the baby's name is yet, but I hope she'll like this blanket!

First post!

Wow! I finally made a blog!

So right now I am in the process of putting together my post card and blog swap.. I made my very first cloth postcard. I think it turned out alright. I'll share pictures of the two that I made.
